How It Works

See Exactly How Docket Runs Your Content Operation

Connect one website. Docket builds the brand profile, ranks the topics worth writing, drafts them in full, grades every draft against 33 search and AI-retrieval checks, and publishes to WordPress the moment you approve.

The Sequence

Five Stages, Each One Feeding The Next

Set-up takes an afternoon. After that the output of every stage is the input of the next, so nothing waits on a briefing document or a handover meeting.

  1. Stage 01

    Connect

Docket reads your site and writes the brand profile you would otherwise have briefed an agency to build.

    Your website URL
    Out

  2. Stage 02

    Plan

Opportunities arrive scoped and prioritised, checked against what you already cover.

    A ranked topic queue
  3. Stage 03

What Docket Automates, What Your Team Decides

Content teams do not lose the week to writing. They lose it to everything around the writing. Docket takes that work and leaves the judgement where it belongs.

Docket Handles

  • Research and prioritisation

Reads your site, profiles the brand, names the competitor set and ranks what to write next against coverage you already have.

  • Production

Writes the full draft, generates the imagery, places it, and fills in metadata, internal links and the FAQ block.

  • Quality control

Applies the same 33 checks to every draft and reports each failure with the rule and the current value, so the standard is identical across the team.

  • Distribution and reporting

Publishes to WordPress, records the live URL, and scores the page from Search Console data once it is live and indexed.

Your Team Owns

  • Whether the topic is right for the business

Docket ranks by opportunity. Only you know about the product launch next month or the segment you have decided to stop chasing.

  • Whether the draft is true

The checks grade structure and retrievability, not accuracy. Verify statistics, dates and citations before the piece goes out under your name.

  • Whether it sounds like you

The profile encodes your voice and the editor is fully editable. Judgement about tone stays with the person whose name is on the byline.

  • When it goes live

Every piece requires explicit human approval. There is no scheduled or unattended publishing, by design.

Inside Each Stage

Step Into Any Part Of The Workflow

Pick the stage you came to evaluate. Each one shows the screen your team will actually work in.

Stage 01

Connect

Paste a URL. Docket crawls the site, infers your category, positioning, voice, audience segments and target markets, and names the competitors you are actually up against. You get a populated profile to correct rather than an empty form to fill in.

  • Voice, style, preferred and prohibited terminology
  • Personas, segments, objections and target geographies
  • A named competitor set, every field editable

The Standard

Inside The 33-Point Publishing Standard

Search is no longer ten blue links. Every draft is graded three ways: for the ranking signals a crawler reads, for whether an answer engine can quote you, and for whether an AI overview can lift your page cleanly.

18

SEO

Classic ranking signals

The mechanics a search engine reads first: lengths, placement, density and structure.

  • Headline is 30–65 characters
  • Keyword in the headline, first 100 words and a heading
  • Keyword density between 0.4% and 2.5%
8

GEO

Generative engine optimisation

Whether an AI answer engine can retrieve the page, quote it and attribute it.

  • Opens with a direct, quotable answer
  • Cites two or more external sources
  • Six or more semantic entities mapped
7

AIO

AI-overview readiness

Whether the page can be chunked and lifted into an overview without losing its meaning.

  • Three or more question-style headings
  • Sections chunked for extraction
  • No sentence over 30 words

Scoring is deterministic. The same draft always returns the same result, so the number is an editorial standard your team can hold each other to rather than a second opinion.

Trust And Governance

Built For Teams Who Answer To Someone

You are handing a platform the keys to your website. Here is exactly what it does with them.

Revocable credentials

WordPress application passwords are encrypted at rest and never returned to the browser. Revoke one in WordPress and it stops working here immediately.

Read-only analytics

Google scopes cover reading Search Console and Analytics and nothing else. Disconnecting revokes the token with Google and deletes our copy.

Isolated tenancies

Each website is separated by a row-level security policy in the database, not a filter in the interface, so one client's data is unreachable from another's session.

Content treated as data

Pages Docket reads are passed to the model as material to summarise. Text shaped like an instruction is treated as text, not executed.

FAQ

Questions About The Workflow

Timing, failure modes, what your writers keep, and what the platform will not do.

How Long Does Set-Up Take?

Around fifteen minutes end to end. Adding a profile and running the website analysis takes a couple of minutes, the WordPress application password under five, and Google is a consent screen plus choosing a property.

How Long Does A Draft Take?

One to two minutes. Docket writes the body first, then generates and places the hero and in-body imagery, then calculates the word count and the 33-point score.

Do My Writers Still Have A Job?

A different one. Docket removes research, first-draft production and the optimisation pass; your team keeps topic judgement, factual verification, voice and the decision to publish. Most teams use the score as an editorial standard rather than accepting drafts as they land.

What Happens When Generation Fails?

You get a plain-language reason — rate limited, credits exhausted — rather than a stack trace, and the topic stays in the queue. Nothing is silently discarded.

Can I Regenerate A Single Section?

Not yet. Today you edit by hand or regenerate the whole article. Section-level regeneration is on the roadmap.

Can Docket Publish On A Schedule?

No. Every piece requires human approval and work happens while you are in the product. Unattended and scheduled publishing are deliberately outside the workflow.
