About This Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the Docket website and in the Docket app, which are built and operated by Cyberdune Technologies Private Limited. It should be read with our privacy policy.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser, which is sent back to the website with each request. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that keep data on your device. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; local storage stays until it is removed. The law treats all of these in the same way, so this policy covers all of them.
What Docket Uses
Docket’s own code does not set any cookies. It uses local storage and session storage for the items in the next section, and nothing else.
Docket does not use analytics cookies, advertising or retargeting pixels, social media tracking widgets, cross-site identifiers or fingerprinting. Links to our social media profiles are ordinary links.

Items marked strictly necessary are needed to provide the service you asked for, such as staying signed in. Items marked preference remember choices you make and the state of the app on your device. They are only read by the Docket app in your browser, are not sent to us, and are not used for analytics or advertising.

Names in square brackets stand for an identifier: the ID of our database project, or of one of your websites. Most items are only written once you are signed in. If you visit without signing in, the only items that may be written are docket-theme, docket-splash and, if you open a team invitation link, docket.return-to.
Why We Do Not Show a Consent Banner
Under the UK and EU rules on cookies (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the ePrivacy Directive), consent is not needed for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. Docket uses storage only for that: to keep you signed in and to make features you use work as you left them. Because we use no analytics or advertising technologies, there is nothing to ask consent for. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and we will ask for your consent first.
Third Parties
- Fonts. Fonts are served from Docket’s own servers. Loading a page sends no request to Google Fonts or any other font provider.
- Signing in with Google, and connecting Google. These take you to Google’s own pages, where Google may set its own cookies under its own policies. Docket receives a sign-in result or an access token, never your Google password.
- Hosting. Our hosting and network providers may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security, for example to protect against automated abuse: hosting security cookiesTBC (to be confirmed).
- Your WordPress site. When you visit your own site, its cookies are governed by your site’s policy, not ours.
Docket cannot read cookies set by other websites, and they cannot read Docket’s.
How to Control Them
- Sign out from the account menu to remove your session from the browser.
- Clear site data for this website in your browser settings (usually under privacy, or site settings) to remove every item listed here.
- Block storage for this website if you prefer. The public website will still work, but you will not be able to stay signed in to the app, because signing in depends on the session item.
- Use a private window, which clears everything when it is closed.

Changes to This Policy
If we change what we store in your browser, we will update this page and its date first. We will not add analytics or advertising technologies without updating this policy and asking for consent where the law requires.
